Bellrock Group are currently seeking a Assistant Accountant to join the team. Working as part of the Group Management Accounting team who are responsible for the balance sheet of Bellrock Group and its subsidiaries. You will ensure the financial control framework and systems are followed in line with company policies and challenge the business partners to maintain compliance.

Bellrock Group are currently seeking a Assistant Accountant to join the team. Working as part of the Group Management Accounting team who are responsible for the balance sheet of Bellrock Group and its subsidiaries. You will ensure the financial control framework and systems are followed in line with company policies and challenge the business partners to maintain compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Completing reconciliations of Bellrock Balance Sheet accounts and review reconciliation completed by Business Partner teams.
- Take ownership over resolving reconciling items where possible or highlight these in a timely manner to the Group Accounting manager.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policy and standards, including in the accounting for Fixed Assets, Exceptional items and Intercompany transactions.
- Prepare month end journals for group entries and the SPCs.
- Support on the processing of payments in banking systems.
- Ad-hoc queries as required by the Group Accounting Manager
- Highlight process improvements and support the Group Accounting Manager in improving the team’s efficiency and impact.
- Support the wider Management Accounting team and cover tasks where necessary.
- Your development, including progression towards accounting qualification.
- The ideal candidate will be a training for an accounting qualification ACA, CIMA or ACCA.
- Comfortable working as part of a finance team.
- Enthusiastic, driven and self-motivated. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliability: responsible and dependable. Take ownership of your work.
- Good time management skills with the ability to prioritise effectively.
- Team player – works as part of a team to achieve a common goal.
- Attention to detail – job requires being accurate in interpreting and challenging data.
- Good communication skills – gives timely updates to Manager and with team.
