As Vetting Researcher, you will process information about Vetting and Disclosure issues, cross-reference data to ensure records are updated and accurate and provide advice and assistance to members across the Force.

This is a fixed-term contract until 31/03/2026 and offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience with the Vetting and Disclosure team!

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Receive and validate requests from authorised agencies to create and update records held on the Police National Computer system
  • Provide offender history to authorised agencies
  • Cross reference correspondence with records to update and amend accurately

The must haves

  • Educated to GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English Language and/or have experience of working to that standard
  • Experience of working in a clerical/administrative role where attention to detail and accuracy was essential
  • Good working knowledge of IT software including Microsoft word, Excel and the ability to operate a keyboard at a speed and accuracy equivalent to 25 wpm
