Area Director – North London
Location: Field Based
Reports to: Phil Daniel
Salary: £75,000 - £85,000 + £10,000 OTE (capped)
The role
As an Area Director at Rightmove, you'll guide and motivate your team by sharing a clear vision, creating a supportive atmosphere, and demonstrating great behaviour to hit account plans and goals. You'll strategically map out plans, set goals, and help your team develop their own strategies to boost performance and reach targets. Using performance reviews, coaching, and good leadership, you'll make sure team members are working towards business goals while building strong connections with important customers and stakeholders to grow and succeed in your area.
What you’ll be doing
- Inspire your team by communicating a clear vision of what is expected, role modelling the required behaviours, and creating the right environment for your team to deliver the account plans and achieve targets / objectives.
- Have a plan, set objectives & help your team define their own area plans to achieve targets and objectives.
- Appraise the performance of individual team members to ensure they are focused on activities that support great account management & regional objectives that add value to the business and that of our customers.
- Identify and maintain resource requirements for own area in relation to turnover, absence, recruitment to meet resource plan and succession planning.
- Develop relationships with key customers and influencers in your area.
- Conduct regular and effective coaching & 1-2-1’s and performance management.
- Develop your team through identification of learning needs to enable them to reach their full potential in line with company objectives.
- Provide an on-going training programme as needed to drive the business plan and develop individuals.
- Manage the day-to-day relationships with external parties in support of company objectives and policy.
- Identify and maintain resource requirements for own regional area
What you’ll bring to the role
- Experience of managing a team through a life cycle.
- A working knowledge and experience of coaching to maximise the potential of your team.
- A growth mindset to actively engage with the day-to-day challenges of driving the business forward whilst dealing with ever changing circumstances.
- Experience of constructively challenging peers to enhance the performance of the business and individuals.
- The ability to inspire and motivate a high performing team.
- Property experience isn't mandatory, but eagerness to learn is essential.
