Apprentice Dental Nurse

We can help, here at Welshmill Dental Practice, Frome, Somerset, due to growth within our practice we are looking for an Apprentice Dental Nurse to join our friendly team. Welshmill Dental Practice has a fantastic reputation and is situated in a beautiful Georgian Style premises, in a unique location overlooking the lovely market town of Frome. The Practice relocated to its present position in 1981 and has undergone a complete state of the art refurbishment, with new decor and consulting rooms. There is also onsite parking for your convenience. This is a Full-time role, Monday to Friday 08:15 - 17:15.

We are well equipped to train and guide new dental nurses to achieve their qualification. We are a caring and nurturing environment; we will provide you with a mentor who will be a qualified and experienced GDC registered nurse who you can lean on for support and guidance throughout the duration of your course.

What do Dental nurses do in practice?

• Have the ability to remain calm under pressure and to put patients at ease
• Developing the skills to assist the Dentist chair side with the performance of all clinical treatments within the surgery
• Providing our patients with the highest level of care during a range of procedures
• Updating computer records and taking notes
• Preparing instruments and materials during treatments
• Cleaning surgeries to a high level, maintaining strict cross infection controls
• Undergoing training and studying as required to develop your skills
• To apply for an Apprenticeship with us you must have GCSE Maths and English at grade C/4 or above OR functional skills Level 2 *
