Working hours 8:30am to 5:00pm, 40 hours Monday to Friday
The role of the Accounts Assistant is to support the accountant and the wider management team. For this position the role will have a focus on bank and balance sheet reconciliations, requiring a high degree of accuracy and a good degree of numerical ability. Within this role duties include posting daily bank transactions to the accounting system, processing daily cash and card takings and assisting with the sales ledger and purchase ledger to help ensure the smooth running of the team. This is a successful and busy motor retail business and you will be an important part of the accounting team and expected to bring enthusiasm and a good work ethic to the office.
You will be proficient in MS Office, specifically Excel and have prior experience working with accounting systems in an accounting environment. Experience in the motor industry and working with the Kerridge DMS would be an advantage but is not essential as on-site training will be given.
