Role Overview

Willow Lodge is the first in our portfolio to operate the Household Model of Care—a fresh, relationship-led approach built around small, familiar communities of around 12 people within the home. As the weekend Receptionist at Willow Lodge, you will be a key member of the reception team and play an integral part of the home. You will be the first port of call to welcome visitors, families as well as internal and external stakeholders with a smile. You will support the home administrator, answer incoming calls, scan documents, assist with recruitment and events Willow Lodge host, such as summer fete, fundraising or even birthday parties for those who live at the home.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • To maintain and regularly check the stationary cupboard and be responsible for ordering of goods when needed.
  • Represent the Willow Lodge brand by maintaining a professional and welcoming presence for all team members, residents, and visitors.
  • To update and maintain the relatives email addresses on the relevant database and ensure all records and files are kept up to date, archived, filed and disposed accordingly.
  • To update and replace the menus on the display boards and dining tables within the agreed timescales
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Administrator to support the overall functioning of the home.


Skills, Qualifications and Abilities

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience within a similar environment desirable
  • NVQ Level 2 in Administration (or equivalent) or a willingness to complete this qualification if not already obtained.
  • Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Office and internal applications; with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated and capable of working independently.
