Balfour Beatty are recruiting for an an exciting opportunity to contribute to one of the most important energy projects in the UK - Sizewell C. The MEH Alliance is playing a vital role in delivering one of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects. We're looking for a Supply Chain Specialist (Piping Bulks) to join our dynamic and proactive Supply Chain team, supporting the procurement and sourcing of materials, equipment and services for the Sizewell C project Location: Bristol or Manchester - Min 2 -3 days in the office per week
What you'll be doing
As a Supply Chain Specialist, you will support the end-to-end procurement process, helping to source and contract key Mechanical, Electrical and HVAC (MEH) materials and services up to contract signature. Working closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers, you'll play an important role in ensuring successful project delivery
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare RFQs and ITTs and manage tender processes.
- Coordinate supplier queries and tender evaluations.
- Support commercial negotiations and contract development.
- Maintain procurement trackers, records and documentation.
- Assist with supplier risk identification and mitigation activities.
- Support contract handover preparation for Contract Managers.
- Work collaboratively across the wider Supply Chain and Project teams.
Who we're looking for
Essential
- Procurement or supply chain experience within engineering, construction, infrastructure or related sectors.
Desirable
- Understanding of supplier evaluation and procurement processes.
- Experience using procurement systems and managing tender activities.
- Previous experience within major projects, regulated industries or complex engineering environments.
