Salary: School Support Scale points 1215 (£28,598 £30,024 FTE). Actual Salary for TTO+1 week is £25,340 £26,603
Contract: Permanent - Full Time Term Time Only plus 1 week
Start Date: September 2026
We are seeking a highly organised, compassionate and proactive Student SEND/Medical Officer to join our dedicated team at Kingsway Park High School. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a key role in supporting students with SEND, medical conditions and additional needs, helping to ensure they can access education safely, successfully and confidently.
Working closely with the SEND team, pastoral colleagues, families and external professionals, you will coordinate SEND administration, medical provision and student welfare support. You will oversee healthcare plans, medical records, EHCP review processes and support arrangements, ensuring that all documentation is accurate, compliant and responsive to student needs.
This varied role combines administration, coordination and direct student support, making a real difference to the educational experience and wellbeing of some of our most vulnerable learners.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for an individual who:
- Has experience working with children and young people.
- Can manage confidential information sensitively and maintain accurate records.
- Has strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling positive relationships with students, families, staff and external agencies.
- Has experience coordinating meetings, documentation and support processes.
- Demonstrates a commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and supporting vulnerable learners.
- Has a First Aid qualification or is willing to undertake training immediately.
- Ideally has experience within a school, SEND, pastoral or medical support setting and knowledge of EHCP processes, healthcare plans and safeguarding procedures.
- GCSE Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent) in English and Maths
