We are looking for a talented and motivated Scientist to join our Characterization and Material Sciences department in Slough, United-Kingdom.
About the role :
You will help characterize protein therapeutics by using biophysical and biochemical techniques specifically Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) to understand protein structure, function, and degradation pathways. You will develop, apply, and troubleshoot analytical methods that support the development of new protein therapeutics. This is a great opportunity to build experience in the biopharmaceutical sector while contributing to high-quality scientific work, technical reports, procedures, and regulatory documentation.

You will be working in a team that brings together experienced scientists focused on protein characterization and material sciences. The team works closely with analytical development, quality control, process, and formulation colleagues, and collaborates with project teams across the United-Kingdom, Belgium, Switzerland, and the United States, as well as with academic partners.

What you’ll do :
- Analyze protein therapeutics using Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), circular dichroism and Fourier and transform infrared spectroscopy
- Support biophysical and biochemical studies to understand protein structure, function, and degradation pathways
- Develop, apply, and improve analytical methods for protein and biochemical analysis
- Keep accurate records and contribute to technical procedures, protocols, reports, and regulatory documentation
- Communicate analytical findings and technical challenges clearly with team members and project teams
- Help maintain laboratory equipment, resolve assay issues, and ensure materials are available
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in a relevant scientific discipline
- 1 to 3 years of laboratory experience in an academic or industrial setting
- Experience using circular dichroism and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy for protein analysis
- Experience with nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy would be an advantage
- Good understanding of protein biochemistry, biophysics, and analytical troubleshooting
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
