We are looking for an enthusiastic, confident and highly organised School Liaison and Events Officer to join our Marketing and Communications team.
This exciting role will play a key part in promoting opportunities across The Sandwell Colleges, including Sandwell College, Central Saint Michael’s Sixth Form and Cadbury Sixth Form College. Working closely with schools, careers leads, parents, prospective students and key stakeholders, you will help raise awareness of our curriculum offer, support student recruitment activities and contribute to delivering an outstanding applicant experience.
As a dynamic and outward-facing ambassador for the Colleges, you will build strong relationships across the region, deliver engaging presentations, coordinate recruitment events and support prospective learners as they make important decisions about their future education and career pathways.

Responsibilities
- Represent and promote The Sandwell Colleges through school visits, assemblies, careers fairs and recruitment events
- Build and maintain positive relationships with schools, careers advisers, teachers, parents/carers and other key stakeholders
- Deliver engaging presentations and provide high-quality Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) to prospective students
- Support the planning, delivery and evaluation of recruitment campaigns, Open Days, Open Evenings and progression events
- Maintain school liaison databases, stakeholder records and events calendars, producing reports and monitoring engagement activity
- Work collaboratively with curriculum and marketing teams to develop innovative promotional materials and engagement activities
- Support applicant engagement, conversion and transition activities to maximise enrolment
- Act as a first point of contact for prospective students seeking information and guidance
- Recruit, support and coordinate Student Ambassadors, helping them represent the Colleges at events and promotional activities
- Coordinate and support a wide range of internal and external events across all campuses
- Develop effective partnerships with schools, local authorities, careers services and community organisations
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- Experience of building strong relationships with stakeholders, partners and customers
- Experience of working with young people and supporting their progression decisions
- Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to engage confidently with a wide range of audiences
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Experience of coordinating events and promotional activities
- A proactive and creative approach to problem solving and engagement
- Good knowledge of education pathways, careers information and opportunities available to young people
- The ability to work independently whilst contributing effectively as part of a wider team
- Strong IT and administrative skills, including maintaining databases and reporting information
- A commitment to providing excellent customer service and enhancing the learner experience
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
