Igne is looking for a motivated and ambitious Regional QHSE Coordinator to join our growing QHSE team in Chester-le-street. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) management.This role will support the Group QHSE Manager and wider QHSE function, helping to maintain and improve compliance across our operational business units. It is a developmental position offering hands-on experience, with a clear progression pathway towards a Regional QHSE Manager role.You will work closely with Regional QHSE Managers and operational teams, gaining exposure to audits, reporting, training coordination, and the ongoing development of our Integrated Management System (IMS).Key Responsibilities:Support the delivery and maintenance of QHSE compliance across all operational areas in line with company policies, procedures, and legislative requirementsAssist in the coordination and continual improvement of the Integrated Management System (IMS), ensuring alignment with ISO standards and industry best practiceProvide support for internal and external audits, including documentation preparation, tracking actions, and ensuring corrective measures are completedMonitor and report QHSE performance, including KPIs, incidents, near misses, and RIDDOR events, identifying trends and areas for improvementWork with operational teams to maintain compliance with company standards, customer requirements, and industry accreditationsAssist with PQQ submissions and the maintenance of accreditationsSupport the development and delivery of QHSE communications, briefings, and training materialsAssist in incident and non-conformance investigations, including data gathering, reporting, and action trackingAttend site visits, audits, and review meetings to gain practical experience across the businessMaintain accurate and compliant QHSE records and documentationContribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the QHSE functionAbout YouNEBOSH General Certificate (minimum)Technical membership of IOSH (Tech IOSH) or working towardsFull UK Driving LicenceExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly to a range of audiencesStrong influencing and negotiation skills to promote safety and environmental standardsAbility to analyse complex data and present findings in a simple, accurate formatHigh attention to detail with a flexible and inquisitive approach to workSalary & Benefits: Up to £40,000 per annum33 days holiday (including bank holidays)Enhanced maternity & paternity payCompany pension, life insurance (3x salary) & sick payHealth cash plan & medical cashbackAnnual leave buy & sell schemeOngoing training & developmentCycle to Work, Green Vehicle & Home/Tech schemesHigh street discounts & long service awards We are part of Igne Group Limited, a synergetic amalgamation of six companies with over 350 years of combined experience, providing a one-stop-shop for pre- and post-construction services.
