We're Hiring: Quality Control Manager
Location: Telford - 5 days per week on site.
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: Monday–Friday (40 hours)

We are now looking for a strong, people-focused Quality Control Manager (QCM) to lead our site quality control function and play a key role in driving compliance, performance, and continuous improvement across our operations.

As Quality Control Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading the site QC team and ensuring the highest standards of food safety, quality, and compliance.
What you'll be doing:-
- Leading and developing the Quality Control team, ensuring strong performance and engagement
- Managing team capability, training plans, and performance processes
- Supporting recruitment activities alongside HR
- Driving a strong quality culture across the wider site
- Ensuring compliance with food safety legislation, customer standards, and internal requirements
- Leading quality investigations and implementing robust corrective actions
- Supporting HACCP processes and ensuring site readiness for audits
- Driving adherence to GMP/GDP and technical standards across operations
- Monitoring quality performance through KPIs and reporting to the leadership team
- Delivering improvements through root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensuring effective quality management systems are in place and maintained
- Supporting product launches and trials to meet Right First Time (RFT) standards
- Building strong relationships with operational teams, suppliers, and customers
- Working cross-functionally with teams including Operations, R&D and Packaging
- Supporting customer audits and site inspections
Essential Experience & Skills
- Proven experience within a Food Manufacturing Quality role
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, Food Safety Systems, GMP and Quality Standards
- Experience leading and developing teams in a manufacturing environment
- Strong analytical skills with experience in quality data and reporting
- Good IT skills (including Excel and reporting tools)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience with dairy or FMCG manufacturing
- Knowledge of SPC or quality systems (QC/QA within QM environments)
- Project management or continuous improvement experience
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence at all levels
- Proactive, resilient, and solution-focused
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Passion for quality, food safety, and continuous improvement
