We are now recruiting a Production Chemist to support the manufacture of radiopharmaceuticals, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance in a regulated GMP environment.
The Role
As a Production Chemist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that radiopharmaceutical production, radiation compliance, Health & Safety, Good Manufacturing Practice, and licensing commitments are consistently met.
This is a shift‑based role, requiring flexibility to meet customer demand and business needs.

We are now recruiting a Production Chemist to support the manufacture of radiopharmaceuticals, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance in a regulated GMP environment.
The Role
As a Production Chemist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that radiopharmaceutical production, radiation compliance, Health & Safety, Good Manufacturing Practice, and licensing commitments are consistently met.
This is a shift‑based role, requiring flexibility to meet customer demand and business needs.
Shift pattern:
- 1 week of night shift followed by 6 weeks of day shift
- Day shift: 06:00–14:00
- Night shift: 21:00–05:00
You will be responsible for:
- Manufacturing radiopharmaceuticals in line with Marketing Authorisations and/or specials licences, ensuring full compliance with the PETNET Quality System and cGMP requirements
- Cleaning and maintaining cleanrooms and associated equipment
- Working to a shift pattern that includes weekends, in line with operational demand
- Ensuring adequate stock levels of consumables
- Shipping dangerous goods in accordance with ADR regulations
- Collaborating with PETNET colleagues to ensure alignment of operational processes and effective backup across sites
- Operating the cyclotron particle accelerator
- Maintaining continuous professional development to stay current with legislation and scientific developments related to PET radiopharmaceutical production
- Supporting the review and development of standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Assisting with site preparation for audits and inspections
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- An HND or higher qualification in a physical science or engineering discipline
- Good communication skills, including experience in a customer‑facing role
- Experience working within a GMP pharmaceutical production environment
