We are seeking an exceptional leader to take on the role of Head of Regeneration, leading the Council’s regeneration programme and strategy and working in partnership across the region to transform our places
The Regeneration Service leads the delivery of high-profile programmes across the Borough, including the Don Valley Corridor, the first Mayoral Development Zone in South Yorkshire; Rotherham Gateway, a new mainline rail station and economic hub; Bassingthorpe Farm, the largest single housing site in the Borough; and ambitious plans to diversify Rotherham Town Centre
This is a rare opportunity to lead a team of regeneration professionals to drive opportunities and project delivery for long-term inclusive economic growth for our communities
The Role
Reporting to the Service Director for Planning, Regeneration & Transport, you will:

• Lead and manage the Council’s high-performing Regeneration Service
• Deliver complex regeneration programmes and capital projects
• Develop and implement regeneration strategies and investment plans
• Provide expert advice to senior leaders and elected members
• Build strong partnerships across public and private sectors
• Manage budgets and ensure value for money
• Drive innovation and service improvement

About You
You will bring:

• Significant senior leadership experience in regeneration or economic development
• Proven delivery of large-scale regeneration programmes
• Strong understanding of local government and political context
• Experience of strategic planning and service transformation
• Strong financial and budget management skills
• Excellent partnership, negotiation and communication skills
• Relevant qualification or equivalent experience
