We have an exciting opportunity to join our Children’s & Young People’s Management Team at a senior level. We are looking for an experienced nurse with expertise and working knowledge of managing school nursing and health visiting services.
This post is based in the North East of Wales covering the Local Authority areas of Flintshire and Wrexham. You will be a highly motivated and inspirational leader, taking responsibility for school nursing, health visiting, Children Looked After and vulnerable groups health visiting services.
Main duties of the job
To effectively manage the budget and the allocation of resources for the service. Particular emphasis will be placed on the management of performance, quality and resource utilization, with a view to securing the delivery of consistently high quality and safe clinical services within available resources.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

- NMC Registration Specialist Community Practitioner- e.g. Health Visitor/School Nurse
- Degree Level Qualification/Post Graduate qualification at Masters Level/Knowledge equivalent to Masters Level
- Masters Degree in relevant field Specialist therapeutic qualification. Teaching qualification Management Qualification
Essential criteria
- Management Experience at band 7 equivalent or above Service development Child Protection/Safeguarding Children Producing and developing policies and practice guidelines
- Research experience. Developing and delivering clinical Governance systems within the clinical setting.
