Commercial Evening Cleaner

Brief Description

Pektron is one of the UK’s leading independent electronics design and manufacturing specialists. From our tech campus in Derby, we design and build bespoke electronics for global brands. We take great pride in our facility, and we are looking for a dedicated Commercial Evening Cleaner to join our internal team. This is a direct hire position based permanently at our main Derby site.

You will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and professional environment for our engineering, manufacturing, and office teams. Working fixed evening hours, you will ensure our workspaces, communal areas, and production facilities are pristine and ready for the next day. As you are joining us directly, you will be a valued member of the Pektron team from day one.

Hours: 20 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Monday to Thursday (4:30 PM – 8:30 PM), Friday (4:00 PM – 8:00 PM)

Key responsibilities

• Workspace Cleaning: Dusting, wiping down desks, and vacuuming offices and meeting rooms.

• Sanitation: Thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting tea points, staff canteens, and washrooms.

• Floor Care: Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming high-traffic corridors and communal spaces.

• Waste Management: Emptying office recycling and general waste bins daily.

• Stock Management: Keeping your cleaning store organized and letting supervisors know when supplies run low.

Skills and experience required

• Previous experience in commercial, office, or industrial cleaning is preferred. Cleaning in other sectors will be considered.

• Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working our fixed evening shift pattern.

• High standards of cleanliness and excellent attention to detail.

• Ability to work well independently and follow health and safety guideline
