Key Responsibilities:
- Close liaison with the Company’s designated dealers in order to formulate annual sales and marketing plans
- Ensure that annual budgets are delivered or exceeded in line with turnover and margin expectations
- Actively promote the Company’s products and services within the dealer network, and assist with any relevant product update training
- Assist dealers where required in demonstrations or farm visits, including support in closing deals
- Market analysis, including competitor developments, market trends, price levels etc
- Maintain dealer and end user database in order to maximise future sales opportunities
- Implement discount structures within the designated dealer network, establish bonus and incentives, along with retail finance options
- Participate in and actively contribute to presentations, seminars and training courses for dealers and end users
- Participate in shows and exhibitions, demonstrations, dealer open days and other events on a local, regional and national basis
- Undertake regular product training either in the UK or at the Company’s European headquarters in order to continually improve product and competitor knowledge
- Compile, manage and refer back to weekly call log system, ensuring follow ups are actioned
Essential Experience:
- Demonstrable commercial success within the agricultural machinery sector
- Working within the UK agricultural machinery dealer network or for a manufacturer
- Capable of working within a budgetary framework, motivated by achieving and exceeding targets
- Hands-on and practical experience in the set-up and correct operation of modern agricultural machinery at a semi-technical level
- Strong interpersonal skills, capable of establishing and developing rewarding professional relationships, with a well-developed spectrum of communication strategies
- Strong level of IT literacy and familiar with modern sales and marketing methods including social media and CRM systems
- Living in or prepared to relocate to Scotland or Northern England
- Full, clean driving licence
