At present, University Hospitals of North Midlands is unable to offer visa sponsorship for Band 2 to Band 4 roles, as these positions do not meet the minimum salary and skill thresholds required under UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) regulations.
Applicants currently holding a Graduate Visa are welcome to apply. However, please be aware that UHNM will not be able to provide sponsorship upon expiry of the Graduate Visa. In addition, candidates must have a minimum of six months remaining on their Graduate Visa at the commencement of employment to support the required training and operational commitments associated with the role.
Role Overview
We are seeking to recruit an Engineer to join the Clinical Technology team and support the delivery of maintenance and engineering services across the Trust. The successful applicant will have a strong engineering background, ideally with experience in equipment maintenance and repair within a technical environment.
Applicants must hold a minimum qualification of an ONC, or equivalent, in a relevant engineering discipline and possess a full UK manual driving licence.
Previous experience within an engineering or maintenance role would be advantageous.
The Clinical Technology Department provides a comprehensive medical equipment management, maintenance and support service to University Hospitals of North Midlands (UHNM) and a range of external healthcare organisations. Operating across both the Royal Stoke University Hospital and County Hospital sites, the department comprises multidisciplinary teams specialising in areas such as renal services, general medical equipment, imaging, critical care and medical gases. These teams play a vital role in ensuring the safe, reliable and effective operation of medical equipment across the Trust and for partner healthcare providers.
