Assistant Housekeeper - Community Diagnostic Centre, Slough

Full-Time Positions Available

Monday to Friday | 09:00 – 17:00

Join our friendly and dedicated team at the Community Diagnostic Centre in Slough, where you’ll play an important role in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients and visitors.

We are looking for hardworking, enthusiastic, and reliable individuals to become part of our Facilities Team. This role is essential in helping us provide an excellent experience for every patient by maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the department.

Experience

Previous cleaning experience is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Main duties of the job

  • Vacuum/mop sweep/damp mop/spot clean/spray buffing of floor surfaces, using machinery as required.
  • Vacuum carpeted areas, daily removal of spots or stains, and shampooing of carpets using machinery on Housekeeping supervisors
  • Collection and tagging of all rubbish, removing bags, clinical waste bins, sharps bins and flattened cardboard containers to designated collection points .
  • Ensuring that waste is correctly segregated at the collection point, and placed into locked containers, as required by Trust Policy.
  • Replace bags on stands/containers, with the correct colour code, and ensure that containers are clean.
  • Damp dust lockers, over-bed tables, chairs, beds, ledges, over-bed lights, pipes, radiators (remove cages as instructed) bed and locker wheels.
  • Use cleaning equipment and technology as required

  • Educated to GCSE or equivalent, to include English and Mathematics.

  • NVQ level 1 in cleaning and support services building interior
