Liverpool John Moores University is seeking a creative, digitally confident and impact-focused Alumni Communications Officer to join our award winning Student Futures team.

Student Futures is LJMU’s Careers, Employability and Start-Up team, providing services & opportunities to students & graduates that help them build confidence & skills, secure great onward destinations and successfully navigate early stages of their career. As a strategic partner, we work collaboratively with academic teams, employers and external partners, transforming potential into success.

This is an exciting new role that will lead communications campaigns and activities that connect LJMU students, recent graduates and alumni to each other and post study careers, employability and professional development support. Through engaging social media campaigns, newsletters and digital communications, the Alumni Communications Officer will ensure graduates and alumni remain informed and engaged, with access to opportunities and services beyond graduation. The role will play a key part in capturing and showcasing graduate success stories, including driving increased completion of the Graduate Outcomes Survey.

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • Experience in creating and distributing engaging digital content
  • Strong knowledge and experience of social media platforms, campaigns and analytics
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Confidence working collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders
