We are currently looking for a team of BIW Manufacturing Process Engineers to work from our Client's site in Liverpool. The team will play a key role in providing technical support to design, develop and implement manufacturing production processes to enable successful launch of a new range of fully electric vehicles. This will ensure feasibility of all designs to suit manufacturing build requirements, ergonomic processes, delivery of tools and fixtures, quality, data analysis and resolution of issues.



Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Application of Lean Manufacturing and Design principles.
  • Feasibility of all process designs to suit manufacturing build requirements – Design for Assembly (DFA)/ Design for Manufacture (DFM).
  • Building process strategy for manufacturing.
  • Process Capability of all processes, product and equipment, including Dimensional Management applications.
  • Supporting and leading virtual build events, raising and managing issues where appropriate.
  • Supporting equipment buy offs at plant and also at vendor locations, raising and managing issues, where appropriate.
  • Supporting physical builds at Assembly Plant locations, raising and managing issues where appropriate.


Essential:

  • Strong Manufacturing Engineering experience (processes, tools and techniques)
  • Experience of working in a Body Shop
  • Demonstrable ability to create detailed and effective action plans
  • Proven process and project management experience on installation programmes
  • Evidence on an innovative approach to technical problem solving and process development

Desirable:

  • Ideally educated to degree level in Manufacturing or a similar engineering discipline
