Marlborough Highways are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate individual to join their growing Learning and Development team as a Training Administrator Apprentice.

Reporting to the Training Co-Ordinator, you will support, review and update training plans and requirements for each department in the organisation.

You will assist in all day-to-day activities in supporting the wider team to deliver our training goals including monitoring completed training, supporting with audits, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth running of training to our employees.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about training and looking to start or expand their career within this sector. This position will include 6 hours a week release for study as part of a Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship on completion of the probationary period.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creating, storing, and managing Training Agreements, including emailing supervisors and keeping a log of them once they have been signed
  • Creating internal joining instructions and sending to supervisors
  • Supporting with the communication to external training providers and arranging joining instructions
  • Organising employees certificate folders and archiving any leavers folders
  • Organising hard copy certificates for storage
  • Posting leavers certificates to their home, liaising with HR for personal details
  • Organising certificates on QUEST (in-house system) , including removing any duplicates, renaming, and storing certificates
  • Scanning and storing all certificates and cards received via email and post into employee folders, updating QUEST and Excel training matrix
  • Assist with maintaining training records on Excel training matrix
  • Maintaining a log of all cards/certificates received and who they have been given to
  • Assisting in applying for CITB grants
  • Assisting in the compliance to ensure that all staff have the correct training and qualifications for their job role.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages – in particular Excel, Outlook, and Word, along with Adobe PDF Reader. The successful candidate will be trained in how to use other IT platforms used within Marlborough
  • Good communication skills and the ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders, colleagues, clients, and individuals
  • Ability to prioritise workload, work accurately with good attention to detail
  • Responsive and hardworking
  • A team player, who is also able to work independently as required
