Mechanical Engineer

Mechanical Engineer - Generators and Compressors - Newport - Monday to Friday - 08:00-17:00 - 42 hours per week

You will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our generators ranging from 20 – 1400 kva and a number of these machines are fitted with telematics and are fully syncable using Comap or Depp sea panels.

Responsibilities

• Based in the depot carry out planned service maintenance and repair of compressors and generators ranging from 20 – 1400 kva
• Fault-finding, replacing parts, effecting repairs and diagnosing mechanical failures
• Liaise with external departments and customers
• Service, fault find and carry out breakdown repairs
• Comply with companies Health and Safety policy
  
  

What You’ll Need

• Full driving licence
• Experiencing of maintaining and repairing the same or similar types of equipment
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• Able to work alone under pressure and as part of a team
• Flexible approach to hours
• Ability to support your business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver.
