EVC is a rapidly growing EV Infrastructure business which is entering an exciting new stage in it’s mission to the Make the EV Switch Simple. We are seeking a Financial Accountant to join our team and help us reach this mission.

Reporting into the Financial Controller, this role is incredibly wide ranging with no two days being the same. It is a fantastic opportunity for the right individual to join a fast growing business, progress their career and to play a key part in EVC’s journey.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Project accounting: leading the accounting for project closures including liaising with Ops, reconciling the sites when installed and reporting on key KPI’s around CAPEX
  • Management accounts: supporting with the preparation of management accounts and reporting on key KPI’s around site performance
  • Regulatory reporting: supporting with ensuring all our regulatory reporting is done to time including statutory accounts and corporation and other taxes
  • Audit: supporting with the year end audit
  • FP&A: supporting with the annual budget, monthly reforecast and other such analysis to provide data insights to our Board, investors and the rest of the company.
  • Treasury: supporting with cashflow forecasting, cash management and investment.
  • Business partnering: looking for ways to gain efficiencies, automations and control improvements to support the Finance team and the wider organisation during this period of significant growth

Skills And Experience

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with at around 1 years’ post-qualification experience
  • Experience of working in an SME environment; being comfortable and happy to jump in and support wherever necessary to get the best possible outcome
  • Strong IT skill and proficiency with MS Office Applications; particularly Excel
  • Experience of using NetSuite (or similar systems e.g. SAP) is highly preferable
  • Exceptional time management skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Willingness to be flexible and develop within the role as the business grows

Working conditions

  • Hours of work are 8:30 – 17:00 Monday – Friday
  • This role is principally office based, with some flexibility available after probation completion
