The Interior Buyer is overall responsible for a Purchasing Category portfolio of Non-Commercial Goods (NCG) suppliers and for the formulation and execution of the supplier base. You will be buying for Soft Furnishings, Interior and Hangers.

This person is responsible for securing the right supplier base in the category, and overall responsible for quotations and negotiations. The Strategic Buyer is accountable for the supplier performance and commercial relationship as well as for the follow up of related goals and KPIs. This role buys across soft furnishings, hangers and other interior items.

What you will do:

  • Responsible for formulating and executing the strategy for the category and supplier portfolio in accordance with the NCG Purchasing category strategy framework
  • Posses a solid understanding of the supplier market and product portfolio in the category, and for continually strengthening and building on that knowledge
  • Set and deliver on cost savings target for the category
  • Ownership for the overall supplier business and commercial relationship
  • Accountable for the performance of the suppliers on goals and KPIs. Set long-term corrective and preventative action and improvement plans with the suppliers
  • Drive and participate in projects and improvement initiatives
  • Actively work with internal and external stakeholders to secure the right constellation of supplier base capability and product specification in order to maximize the overall company and ecosystem value contribution.
  • Conduct RFIs, RFQs and commercial supplier negotiations
  • Identify, screening, qualify, onboarding and phase out suppliers

What you need to succeed

  • Experience in buying for interior products.
  • Sees the big picture and always considers multiple perspectives.
  • Maintains high awareness of the key stakeholders for the category and their interests, and acts with consideration to this.
  • Good understanding of external business relations and strong sense of business ethics and integrity.
  • Project planning capability for medium to large scale category initiatives – Define timelines, scope, project structure, etc


This is a full time temporary 12 month contract based at our Head Office in London starting ASAP.
