We’re searching for a Director of Strategic Partnerships – Travel, to spearhead strategic plans, and deliver an ambitious operating model with customer value and engagement at the forefront of everything we do.
This role will have a particular focus on travel, dealing with Virgin Companies such as Virgin Atlantic Airways, Virgin Hotels, Virgin Voyages, Virgin Galactic, and Virgin Experience Days.

- Accountable for delivering commercial targets for Virgin Red and setting targets for the 3 to 5-year business plan, ensuring KPIs are aligned with the Virgin Companies.
- Shape and deliver the Virgin Companies’ strategy as it aligns to Virgin Red’s ambitions, business plan and customer and financial targets.
- Be the subject matter expert of the Virgin Companies’ strategic intent and plans for the next 3 to 5 years.
- Develop an operating model that embeds collaboration, alignment, and positive ways of working, and that drives customer value and engagement.
- Act as the single point of contact for the Virgin Companies and Virgin Red, to oversee the delivery of strategy through to execution and management of all risks and opportunities related to these Virgin Companies.
- Day-to-day management of the Partnerships Team.
- Actively seek to leverage the Virgin ecosystem to share best practise, drive cost and revenue synergy opportunities.
What you’ll need
- Experience in the travel sector at Director or Head of Department level.
- Fantastic relationship building and influencing skills, with the ability to bring people together and drive forward the right outcome.
- Strong commercial acumen, with full P&L ownership experience.
- Experience creating, directing, and delivering on a business strategy.
- The ability to think analystically and strategically.
- The ability to present and communicate confidently at a board and C-suite level.
- The ability to sell a strategy and get buy-in.
- Experience mentoring, inspiring, and coaching teams.
- Experience in the loyalty sector is valuable.
