Who we are:

We love what we do and what we do is important!  We believe that everyone should leave feeling better – this means not just our guests and owners, but also our teammates.  Everyone should go home feeling better because they learned something new, or had fun working that day.  Therefore, we hire unique individuals who work together to create amazing experiences for our guests.  We recognize that every member of the team contributes to the success of the whole organisation.  No-one is more important than anyone else, and unless we are in it together, we can’t create that special experience for our guest.

Your mission:

Should you choose to accept it…

Have you got a good eye for detail?  If so, then this job is calling your name!  Come join the elite team of men and women who work in the Engineering department at Virgin Hotels!  They ensure that everything in the hotel from the guest rooms (a.k.a. chambers), meeting rooms, restaurants, offices, is in good working order for our guests, clients, vendors and teammates.

In addition, and under the general supervision of the Assistant Director of Engineering, you will assist in the maintenance, repair, refurbishment, renovation, remodelling as well as assisting the team on other maintenance tasks as required and general upkeep in order to keep the facility functional and attractive to prospective customers.

We expect you to communicate, coordinate and work well with other teammates, managers and guests.  Most of all, we want you to have FUN since you will play a huge role in creating that memorable guest experience!

  • Keep all tools and equipment clean and tidy at all times

  • Training will be provided to support the Engineering team during busier periods such as PAT testing, Legionella awareness, and erecting scaffolding and towers

What qualities are we looking for?
