Salary: Between £42,000 - £60,000 dependent on experience.
Job Description
Reed Recruitment (Southampton Branch) are seeking a skilled Health and Safety Manager to join our client's team. Our client offers a full range of repairs and maintenance services and construction services to Supported Living Partners and Social Housing across the south.
Role responsibilities
Responsibility for managing Health and Safety across the construction group.
Responsibility for ensuring all team members are compliant and company matrix is updated.
Responsibility for reviewing and populating CPP and RAMs ensuring team are fully aware of the obligations set out.
Responsibility for educating and supporting the team members across the business in H&S matter, populating toolbox talks and implementing safety action.
Wholly responsible for the Health & Safety of the construction business.
Responsibility for inductions of new team members ensuring paperwork is completed and retained on company records.
To train, develop and retain team members on all H&S matters.
Complete the annual renewal for their company accreditations (Construction line, CHAS, ISO etc)
About You
A good working knowledge in the building industry.
This is a fast-paced industry, and they are looking for someone who is dynamic in their approach.
A good knowledge of H&S processes and work content.
Strong knowledge of environmental and health and safety basic regulatory and legal framework
Ability to communicate excellently either orally or in writing, to be able to effectively pass health and safety tips to colleagues and subordinates
Ability to lead a team of people effectively and act equally as a team member
Ability to foresee the possibility of a risk occurring and nipping it in the bud
Ability to effectively and efficiently handle pressure and still keep working schedules.
Applicants must be able to drive (have a full UK licence) and be fully conversant with computer data entry (full training given on bespoke systems)
