Here at Gousto we have an exciting opportunity in the form of a Senior Photographer to join our award winning Creative Team on a 10 - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract. Reporting into the Head of Creative you will be responsible for managing our Photography team. Based at our own in-house studio at our Shepherds Bush office, you will manage a small but mighty team of two Food Stylists, Photographer and a Junior Photographer. 

As well as managing the team you will be responsible for planning and organising the huge variety of shoots, both still and video, as well as photographing exciting campaigns for above and below the line.

Core Responsibilities

  • Shooting, editing and producing digital photography and moving image of food, and product still life, for use across all channels 
  • Working in Partnership with the photography team and additional freelancers
  • Lead and nurture dynamic team of photographers and food stylists, fostering a collaborative environment where individuals growth
  • Cultivate a culture of excellence by providing comprehensive support, guiding team members towards achieving their personal and collective goals.
  • Delivering large conceptual briefs and delivering innovative solutions that push the brand forward 
  • Managing our external Photoproduction agency and monitoring the creative output 
  • Performing photo retouching, enhancement, digital manipulation and basic video editing to deliver best in class imagery 
  • Working alongside the Head of Creative and Senior Designers to develop the Gousto approach to imagery and make sure new and existing guidelines can be applied across all channels and collateral 
  • Undertaking day-to-day management projects, maintaining good working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders and suppliers, and making sure all projects are delivered on time, on budget, on brand, to a high standard and stakeholder satisfaction 

Who You Are 

  • A specialist in photography preferably with experience of working for a Food, D2C, Ecommerce, Retail company or start up. 
  • Good knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and a good working knowledge of video editing software would be highly beneficial  
  • Strong line management experience either managing Photographers, Food Stylist or in house Production Team 
  • Ability to work alongside and lead a strong team, including food stylists and lead the production on a photography set 
  • Ability to shoot multiple recipes and products to style guidelines at a high quality at pace 
  • Exceptional organisation, communication and presentation skills 
  • A natural ability to build great relationships with people from across the business
