About The Role

We're looking for a dynamic and energetic experienced Finance Business Partner to join our team.Reporting into the Senior Finance Business Partner, you'll be adept at operating in a matrix structure, have a tenacious desire to deliver positive business results, understand and enjoy the detail, with the ability to elevate and distil key messages for a senior audience.

You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, either at one of our Ipswich, Tunbridge Wells or Bolton office locations. What you'll be doing:

  • Work collaboratively as a proactive partner across our corporate centre office function within IT, security, data and change to build trusted relationships that can be leveraged to positively influence performance, through the provision of expert opinion.
  • Act as a bridge between finance and the operational side of the business, helping to ensure that financial goals align with overall business objectives.
  • Undertake budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis, and strategic planning for the corporate center function within AXA.
  • Develop business cases and collaborate with stakeholders and vendors to ensure robust data inputs, reliable and sustainable benefits deliver the best outcome for AXAUK &I.
  • Identity risks and opportunities, work with stakeholders to manage and understand gaps.
  • Co-ordinate the update of detailed financial forecasts, working collaboratively with teams to develop plans to ensure financial and headcount forecasts are reflective of our planned activities.
  • Provide innovative and insightful commercial reporting to ensure costs and investments are understood and costs are controlled within budget.
  • Identify opportunities and risks, working collaboratively across teams, to manage and understand performance gaps.

About You

What we’re looking for:

  • ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant with extensive business partnering experience.
  • Highly analytical and experience of developing complex financial business cases.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to deal with large volumes of data.
  • Ability to understand key points and summarise them to clearly communicate to wider audiences.
  • Strong relationship management skills to enable effective working with multiple stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven track record of delivery and ownership.
  • Demonstrable resilience and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Experience of working in a large corporate matrix environment with teams located remotely.


As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
