As the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of change management to enhance operations and overall effectiveness of the business. Managing the development, transfer, and implementation of manufacturing processes. Overseeing the maintenance operations of all organisation’s buildings and facilities. Development, planning and delivery of improvement projects that will improve efficiency and support organisation growth. Leading a continuous improvement culture within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review existing operational processes in order to establish current state with a view to cost savings, efficiency improvements, or capacity improvements to satisfy current demand but also to align with future requirements
  • To implement the change strategy to support the organisation strategic plan in terms of plant and capacity
  • To Deliver the long-term utilities plan and a maintenance and replacement programme for site buildings and machinery
  • Lead and provide support for the justification of capital equipment projects
  • Apply project management techniques (schedule, cost and communications) and coordination of internal and external resources in the on-time delivery of projects
  • Drive implementation and maintenance of LEAN and CI practices across the organisation
  • Drive disruptive cost reduction plans into existing processes
  • Lead productivity improvement plans within production
  • Management of operations performance indicators
  • Lead the development and management of documentation in support of process technology, standard operating procedures and process control
  • Develop and maintain long term positive relationships with service providers.
  • Ensure the security and sustainability of sources of essential products and services, adhering to health, safety and environmental regulations

  • Productivity
  • Production value
  • BOM
  • Produce and manage Facilities infrastructure capex plans
  • Review and track completion of statutory maintenance/inspections and remedial works

Essential Experience / Qualifications And Attributes Required

  • Engineering/Manufacturing degree or suitably qualified through experience
  • 5+ years in an engineering or manufacturing leadership role
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment essential
  • Use of Lean problem solving and continuous improvement methodologies and practises
