Project Manager - Warrington

£50,000 - £60,000

Fit-Out & MEP Projects

This role will be site based or operating out of the Warrington office and reporting to a Contracts Manager, the successful candidate will possess considerable Main Contractor experience in complex construction projects with values ranging from £100k to £4M generally. Indentured in a construction related discipline, with a good working understanding of Mechanical, Electrical and Fit-Out package delivery and residing within a 50-mile radius / 1 hour commute of the Warrington office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain good relationships with the customer, framework suppliers and design consultants. Possess the ability to be assertive where required. Able to read the situation and make sound decisions, managing multiple entities both up and downstream, being the conduit to success.
  • Highly adept at the co-ordination of work packages, understanding the interaction of trades and the ability to foresee potential issues.
  • Lead by example, promote the highest of standards with regards to HSEQ best practice, ensuring compliance with company standards, policies, ISO accreditations and legislative requirements in all instances.
  • Sound knowledge of CDM Regulations, Principal Designer & Principal Contractor responsibilities under appointment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new ways of working.
  • Drive the company's vision, values and work ethic, contributing to the growth of the business.
  • Generate new opportunities, upsell GML as a business, secure additional works where possible, act on opportunities to reduce cost, add value and maximise profit.

Must Have Skills

  • Demonstratable experience with a minimum 5 years experience in a Main Contractor role.
  • Reside within a 50 mile / 1 hour commute of Warrington
  • Full Driving Licence
  • Valid CSCS Card
  • IOSH Managing Safely or SMSTS Qualification / Equal Approved
  • Two references required

Desirable Skills

  • Enhanced Management Training - ILM or Similar
  • Technical Author experience
  • Degree educated
  • First Aid Trained
  • DBS Check - Basic or Enhanced (will be completed upon appointment if not current)
  • Sanctions / Financial Check (will be completed upon appointment if not current)
