As a Product Manager, your mission is to bridge the gap between business vision and technical excellence. You’ll be the human technical interface, translating complex concepts into actionable solutions for our colleagues at Evelyn Partners. This role combines product expertise, agile methodologies, and a deep understanding of wealth management. Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  1. Business Outcomes: Your central focus will be achieving tangible business outcomes on behalf of Evelyn Partners. By understanding our architecture and the intricacies of wealth management, you’ll drive initiatives that enhance both colleague and client experiences.
  2. Stakeholder Relationships: Building trusted relationships with stakeholders is key. You’ll collaborate with COO Functions, ensuring their perspectives are accurately represented. Together, we’ll deliver benefits that matter.
  3. Demand Management: Imagine a funnel of demands – your role is to manage it. Prioritize, filter, and facilitate discussions with key users, change champions, and leaders. Align these demands with our strategic goals.
  4. Negotiation Skills: Sometimes, you’ll need to don your negotiation hat. Agreeable timeframes and outcomes are essential. Your ability to find common ground will be invaluable.
  5. Change Delivery: Think big picture. Consolidate change delivery across programs. Be part of the wider Digital Transformation Services (DTS) effort, ensuring timely and high-quality outcomes.
  6. Roadmap Shaping: The future is exciting! Influence our product roadmap. Identify features that align with our evolving business needs. Unlock new possibilities for proactive business value.

Key Responsibilities

Demand Management

  • Shape and manage demand for new initiatives from Evelyn Partners colleagues.
  • Funnel work requests into the right prioritization channels (think of it as our “New Group Change Front Door”).
  • Transform conversations into valuable business outcomes, actionable solutions, spanning processes, features, and technical propositions.
  • Serve as the bridge between COO Functions and Evelyn Partners.

Product Mastery

  • Craft well-defined user needs/business outcomes from early requests.
  • Illuminate data, application, and architectural implications for business users.
  • Maintain a prioritized backlog for sprint development.
  • Evaluate completed work based on acceptance criteria.
  • Keep the customer’s voice at the forefront of prioritization decisions.
  • Deliver tangible business value and quality consistently.

Delivery Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Program Delivery Leads to ensure successful outcomes.

Stakeholder Influence

  • Influential Interactions: Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to manage diverse business stakeholders.
  • Tech Translation: Explain technical concepts in a non-technical manner for executives, business users, and practitioners.
  • Expectation Whisperer: Skilfully manage internal and external negotiations while carefully tending to stakeholder expectations.
  • Articulate Communication: Write and present with clarity and structure, producing high-quality materials.
  • Quality Assurance Wizardry: Evaluate solution approaches, delivery plans, and support structures with precision.

Operational Agility

  • Pressure Mastery: Work efficiently under stress, multitasking and interpreting data swiftly.
  • Crisis Management: Handle stressful situations proactively and professionally.
  • Tool Proficiency: Navigate Microsoft Office adeptly and wield JIRA/Confluence or MIRO/Project Tools.
  • Project Architect: Plan meticulously, identify critical paths, dependencies, and craft end-to-end project plans.

Wealth Wisdom

  • Industry Insight: Understand Wealth Industry Front Office dynamics (Investment Management and/or Financial Planning).
  • Terminology Savvy: Grasp relevant terms and processes within Wealth Management.
  • Agile Navigator: Demonstrate expertise in Product Management and Agile methodologies.

Experience Alchemy

  • Collaborative Crafting: Shape solutions alongside Wealth Management colleagues from inception.

 

Professional Qualifications and Education

  • Desired training certifications/qualification(s) -  Computing, Product/Project Management, Agile Methods/Toolsets
