Mechanical Operational Lead

Location: Salisbury

Salary: £45,000 - £52,000 (D.O.E)

Overview

We have an exciting opportunity to join a science and technology organisation that operate in the defence industry. The company work across multiple domains including defence (Land, Air, Maritime) Cyber and Intelligence on a variety of exciting projects.

You will be work across the site and will find yourself providing a high level of operations coordination, delegation and support and will be overseeing mechanical maintenance and suppliers' activity, holding planning meetings and audits managing contractors against their KPIs as well of an array of different facility and operational tasks across property on our industrial base near Sevenoaks.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage the availability of the equipment in an operationally safe and efficient manner through by coordinating the maintenance plans for all equipment and assets assigned
  • Provide assurance to the property operations team that all asset maintenance schedules are planned correctly and are being adhered to as well as overseeing all contractual and regulatory documentation. You'll ensure it is up to date and accurate
  • Oversee suppliers, hold planning meetings and audits
  • Advising on management and supervision of maintenance of buildings and associated equipment and assets.
  • Lead in managing all actions raised from maintenance engineers and ensure audits are completed in a timely manner and to the correct standard.

This is a full-time role. Monday-Friday 08:00 - 16:30

Key Skills & Experience

You will need to be able to demonstrate that you have proficient facility management experience.

  • Mechanical maintenance and FM experience.
  • Managing teams including team communication, employee performance, conflict within the team as well as quality assurance of their work to build effective teams
  • Identifying and evaluating opportunities for innovation and improvement by planning, implementation and evaluation of change
  • A Proven ability to work successfully across facilities management
  • Full Drivers Licence
