Job Opportunity: Social Worker - Private Law Team at CAFCASS, Birmingham


Are you a qualified and experienced social worker passionate about safeguarding children and promoting their best interests? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join the Private Law Team at CAFCASS, predominantly based in Birmingham.


FCA Responsibilities and Duties:



  • Deliver high-quality early safeguarding and child protection advice, assessments, and analysis to the Court.

  • Prioritize the well-being and safety of the child throughout CAFCASS involvement.

  • Address incidents or risks of significant harm to the child following LSCB procedures and CAFCASS policies.

  • Provide advanced social work-level services by assessing and analyzing court applications related to child protection and serious welfare issues.

  • Influence those with parental responsibility to prioritize the child's well-being and offer advice to courts and Local Authorities on safeguarding concerns.


Essential Requirements:



  • Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent

  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services

  • Social Work England Registration

  • Driving license and access to own vehicle
