Step into the role of Structural Engineer and shape the future of Defence facilities! Join our dynamic team, where you'll craft and maintain critical design documents while ensuring safety and compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage Nuclear Infrastructure Design Substantiation documents.
  • Lead design changes and concessions.
  • Present design justifications to safety committees.
  • Create and maintain Examination, Inspection, Maintenance & Testing schedules.
  • Provide technical advice to stakeholders.
  • Conduct Independent Technical Reviews.
  • Utilize engineering expertise to innovate and improve processes.
  • Justify civil/structural design modifications for high hazard environments.

 



Qualifications:

  • Essential: HNC in Civil Engineering and basic health and safety training.
  • Desirable: Chartered Engineer status, nuclear safety case training.

Experience:

  • Essential: Experience in civil/structural engineering.
  • Proficiency in design and assessment of industrial and maritime structures.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes and standards.
  • Experience in the UK nuclear industry preferred.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and IT tools.

Additional Info:

  • SC Clearance required; Sole UK National.
  • Hybrid role with occasional office presence in Glasgow.
