Director of Engineering – Integration platform for SaaS B2B company

SimplifyVMS is a very sophisticated multi-tenant SAAS HR Tech product built on a complex microservices architecture. Looking for a resource who has worked on sophisticated SAAS platforms or microservices products. Experience working with global teams would be a big plus. Should be able to own workstreams within the platform and be responsible for it end to end to deliver outstanding outcomes. The Role We are looking for an enthusiastic technologist to join an exciting opportunity for a ground up implementation of integration platform connecting many ERP, P2P, Financial, HRIS, provisioning and other applications. Our integration platform is called Simplify Bridge and the goal of the platform is to offer seamless integrations to leading and diverse systems. Below is the solution overview of our platform. https://integrations.simplifyvms.com/ The Integration Director will lead all aspects of application and 3rd party integrations which includes defining architecture patterns, middleware selection, technical design, DevOps, setting up documentation standards and manage development teams to deliver key integrations. Role Responsibilities

• Architect & Implement a highly scalable and resilient EAI architecture using off the shelf middleware and cloud services.


• Collaborating with IT and business partners to understand the application footprint, business flows and integration points across the applications.


• Clearly articulate integration best practices, design patterns for error handling, alerting, notifications and recommendations to IT teams and also business sponsors.


• Lead a team of integration engineers to develop, test and deploy integrations. Ability to work with global and offshore contracting teams will be required.


• Document the QA/testing and devops standards and guidelines. Implement a robust SDLC and CI/CD framework for all integrations.


• Review, monitor project team’s adherence to coding standards & implementation framework.


• Mentor junior engineers. Required Skills


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills


• Enjoys and excels in a fast-paced environment with some level of ambiguity on requirements.


• Experience in managing onsite and offshore consultants for timely and quality delivery.


• B.S. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent combination of education and experience


• 7+ years of experience with technical implementations of enterprise application integrations using middleware technologies like Boomi, MuleSoft, Workato etc.


• 5+ years of experience as integrations engineering leader with experience in standing up and growing a platform from scratch.


• Proven expertise in designing and developing integration using variety of patterns using API, event based, file based.


• Expertise with SOAP/REST-based services, XML, JSON, OData, JavaScript


• Expertise with queuing systems like Kafka, Solace and other JMS queues.


• Hands-on experience of creating EDI integrations with suppliers & customers using standards like EDIFACT, X12 etc.


• Strong hands-on experience of services in public clouds AWS and Azure.


• Application development experience with JavaScript, XML, HTTP, Java, SQL


• Strong analytical and structured problem solving skills


• Experience with Integrations in a B2B SAAS solution
