As a Physics ECT, you will have the opportunity to inspire and educate students in accordance with the UK national curriculum for Physics at Key Stages 3 and 4. You will join a dedicated science department committed to fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for physics among students



Key Responsibilities:




    Plan and deliver engaging and interactive lessons that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of students


    Utilise a variety of teaching strategies and resources to promote conceptual understanding and scientific inquiry


    Assess student progress through formative and summative assessment methods, providing timely feedback to support their learning


    Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching approaches and enrichment activities


    Participate in departmental meetings, school events, and extracurricular activities to promote the study of physics and STEM subjects within the school community

Requirements:




    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or currently completing Initial Teacher Training (ITT) with a focus on Physics


    Strong subject knowledge and a passion for physics education


    Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills


    Ability to inspire and motivate students to explore the wonders of physics and pursue further study in STEM fields


    Commitment to inclusive teaching practices and the ability to create a positive and supportive learning environment for all students
