We have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Regulatory Policy Manager to join our London based team. This is a great job for someone with a deep understanding of prudential regulatory developments within the market, who wishes to shape policy solutions that deliver for our customers and business.


A bit about the job:


The Regulatory Policy team, based in Group Public Affairs, is responsible for creating and delivering Aviva's regulatory policy strategy and advocacy. We collaborate with colleagues across the Group to assess the regulatory landscape and new regulatory initiatives, to understand the impact on our customers and the business, to shape our policy position and to provide constructive input to our regulators. You will also work closely with the Group Public Affairs leadership team to champion an agile team of motivated professionals able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment across a range of changing issues and different business areas.


Taking the lead, together with subject matter experts from the business, on monitoring and assessing prudential regulatory developments and trends, and what they mean in practice is a key aspect of this role. Developing comprehensive, thoughtful and evidence-based advocacy plans, including coordinating efforts across the Group. Developing relevant external stakeholder relationships to help maintain an effective flow of dialogue and information is essential, you will also represent Aviva in external fora on prudential regulatory policy issues.


Skills and experience we’re looking for:



  • Technical understanding of insurance prudential regulatory issues, trends and future challenges


  • Proven track record of persuading, influencing and engaging senior stakeholders internally and externally, on prudential regulatory developments


  • Highly collaborative with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to maintain great internal relationships


  • Ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced environment in order to meet urgent requests from both internal and external stakeholders


  • Excellent organisational and written and verbal communication skills

  • Starting salary circa £95,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
