We have a new opportunity for a HealthCare Assistant to be part of our multi-disciplinary team based at our treatment centre in Plymouth.
- Are you a Health Care Assistant who be familiar with the importance of the patient and places them at the centre of service?
- If so, do you also appreciate the importance of effective team working in the delivery of high-quality patient care?
Being the Heath Care Assistant in this position will see you provide clinical and non-clinical support within our treatment centre. You’ll be ensuring the comfort and professional focus of our patient and will assist with ensuring the smooth running of our treatment centre.
What you'll be doing
Supporting the Ward Manager and Team Leader, you will be working as part of an effective team ensuring the high standards of cleanliness within the centre and treatment areas, whilst undertake basic nursing care practices as directed by the Registered Nurse.
You will be an effective communicator at all levels, comfortable in conducting two-way conversations with patient families, carers and your team. Also, able to demonstrate the ability to consult with patients involving them in decisions about their care and well-being,
As the Health Care Assistant, you’ll be able to best priorities workloads and seek advice where required. You will contribute accurately to documentation relevant to our patient care ensuring confidentiality of patient information.
The Health Care Assistant in this position would have completed a NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent and would have past experience of working in a hospital environment, however this is advantageous but not essential
- You will be flexible with the strong ability to work as part of a team and willingness to learn and develop in the role further
- Will be a competent administrator, able to assist with the departmental clerical and admin tasks, reception meet and greets and incoming call handling
- You’ll have a strong appreciation of data protection and the fundamental legal practices related to consent and the prevention of abuse
