We have an exciting opportunity for an Administrator to join our Healthcare team at HMP Leicester, a category B local prison holding men who are on remand as well as sentenced. It has an operational capacity of around 400. The prison is located in the City Centre and is a 15-minute walk from the station.

You will receive an hourly salary of £12.84

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK on a permanent basis and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.

What you'll be doing

As an Administrator, your responsibilities will vary. You will

• Contribute to the delivery of administration services, to the healthcare team on site


• Work within a busy team, completing a variety of administrative tasks, working on IT systems, maintaining databases/waiting lists/call-up lists, customer service, answering and directing telephone calls, general office duties such as typing, ordering and stock control, scanning,

Qualifications required

• English and Maths at GCSE or equivalent


• Ability to prioritise workload


• Excellent communication skills


• A non-judgmental and compassionate approach


• Good IT skills and IT literacy
