We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Service Advisor to join our busy Service Department at our Oxford branch. The role is with a busy multi-franchise dealership that requires someone who can deal with high volumes, whilst also delivering a high standard of customer service.


All our Service Advisors represent both Brayleys and one of our 7 vehicle brands. As part of our aftersales team, you will be responsible for handling face to face, phone and email queries and converting these to workshop bookings. You will manage the end-to-end customer experience. Day to day, you will:



  • Respond to enquiries from new and existing customers who need to make use of our workshop facilities.

  • Provide outstanding customer service as the face of both Brayleys and our partner vehicle brands as you guide our customers through their visit to our workshop for repairs and maintenance.

  • Meet team and individual targets by the sales of added value products such as continuing maintenance plans.

  • Manage the vehicle handover process, ensuring compliance with all processes when our customers collect their vehicles after repair.

  • Adhere to Brayleys and industry regulations.


Minimum Service Advisor Requirements:



  • The ideal candidate must have previous motor trade experience and a steady work history.

  • At least 2 years’ experience working within the motor trade/car dealership as a Service Advisor.

  • Experienced applicants from independent garages would be considered.

  • Kerridge experience is preferrable but not essential.

  • We are looking for candidates that are confident, friendly, and professional, with a strong customer service background, with the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.

All of our new to Automotive Retail service advisors receive a comprehensive suite of training designed to help you become an expert in the role, throughout your first 12 months with us.

What does a Service Advisor actual do in Automotive Retail?

Do I need experience?


Whilst we always welcome applications from experienced Service Advisors, we also love to hear from individuals looking to enter retail automotive industry, maybe for the first time. We believe in our leadership and training, and this allows us to recruit for attitude and train for skill.


Is training provided?


We invest in you from day one. Newly recruited Service Advisors undergo a full induction into the role. This is topped up with manufacturer training to ensure their knowledge of products and options is kept up to date.
