Planner - Construction

Location: Manchester / Northwest

Company: Main Contractor / Building

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 plus car/allowance and benefits

If you're an Assistant Planner or Planner that is frustrated by a lack of career progression then this would be a perfect opportunity for you!

You will be joining a rapidly expanding main contractor that has significant growth plans for their Northwest region. They promote from within and many of their senior management team started with the business at this level. They are happy to consider an Assistant Planner that is looking for a step up or a Planner that wants a fresh challenge, with the potential to work towards becoming the Senior / Regional Planner for the region.

The successful Planner will be office based working on a mix of tenders and live projects, with travel to sites region. Projects typically range in value from £10m to £40m and they work with a lot of repeat clients on negotiated contracts.

Key requirements for the Planner position:

• Building sector knowledge/experience with a main contractor.


• Previous experience as an Assistant Planner or Planner.


• NEC expereince is essential.


• Will also consider Engineers or Construction Managers that have a desire to move into Planning.


• Proficient in Asta PowerProject software.


• Relevant industry qualification (Degree / HND / HNC etc).


• Excellent communication skills, works well under pressure, team player.


• Full UK Driving Licence.
