THE ROLE



The Project Team Leader shall lead the successful delivery of EnQuest’s Upstream Operations projects in the UK with a focus on Magnus brownfield delivery, ensuring strong performance in all project delivery aspects including HSE, Quality, Cost and Schedule. He or she will be the focal point for the planning and execution/delivery of minor modifications, brownfield modifications and operations projects. Although reporting to the Technical Manager, the Project Team Leader may also have exposure to members of the Aberdeen Leadership Team and have regular interaction with the Operational teams



PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES




  • Safe and effective delivery of all Brownfield Capex modification works for the Upstream Assets



  • Day-to-day management of the Upstream Assets Projects Delivery Team



  • Contract Sponsor for the Brownfield Engineering Contractor, ensuring performance meets technical, budgetary, schedule and HSE targets per company requirements



  • Preparation and delivery of the annual Capex work programme and budget for the Upstream Assets, including creation of budgets, work breakdown structures, estimates and integrated plans



  • Management of the interfaces with the Asset’s Operations and Maintenance teams and Fabrication and Construction contractor



  • In collaboration with the Supply Chain department, be responsible establishing contracting strategies to support the delivery of projects



  • Ensuring that engineered solutions meet the Asset’s requirements and are fit-for-purpose



  • Ensure compliance with Company’s Management of Engineering Change (MOEC) and Gate Review processes



  • Monthly progress reporting to management and other stakeholders



  • Responsible for ensuring all modifications are closed out as per requirements and on schedule



  • Ensure adherence to Company’s technical and project assurance requirements



  • Provide Project Management assurance to other areas of the business (e.g. non-operated Assets and other Directorates)

Experience




  • Relevant oil and gas experience in project environments, with significant exposure to brownfield engineering or project engineering role



  • Experience working with late life oil and gas assets, including brownfield modifications in an offshore environment



  • Familiarity with electronic Management of Change systems



  • Working knowledge of HSE practices in the offshore oil and gas industry, including familiarity with Construction Hazards, Process Safety Management and Verification



  • Knowledge of Stage Gate and Project Assurance processes



  • A working knowledge of project and business risk assessment techniques




QUALIFICATIONS


Essential




  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant engineering field (e.g. Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical etc)




Desired




  • Membership of a recognised industry body (e.g. APM, IChemE, IMechE, NACE etc) preferred
