As a catering assistant you’ll support the café and the team to achieve its full potential, ensuring the café can deliver consistency as well as helping put together creative food ideas for audiences and events. The Café offers a delicious menu includes locally produced seasonal food that is rooted in healthy eating values, offering plant-based, vegetarian, gluten and dairy free options.




We’re looking for a catering assistant who is hardworking, excellent customer service and good multi-tasking skills. Prior experience in food industry is desirable with an up-to-date knowledge of food safety.




What you’ll do:





  • Be a friendly and welcoming face to visitors and customers at the facility

  • To undertake the preparation, serving and deliver of fresh food and drinks.

  • Participate in the production and services standards of the café, ensuring high standards of health safety, hygiene and cleanliness.

  • Ensure follow food safety law and ensure it is maintained

  • Comply with GLL and Hub policies

  • To actively contribute to the development of café service

  • To assistant setting up rooms for functions and events

  • To undertake cash handling and card payments.

  • Attend meetings/training and be part of the facility team.

What you need:





  • Work as part of the team to ensure the smooth operation of the facility

  • Provide excellent customer care and have good multi-tasking skills

  • Prior experience in food industry (desirable)

  • Up-to-date

  • Follow all Normal & Emergency Operating Procedures as well as adhering to relevant product manuals

  • Fully participate in and engage in the training through centre –based training and on-going assessment on performance
