Management Accountant and Credit Control Manager


Salary - up to £40,000 per annum DOE


Office Based - Dudley


Hours - Monday - Friday 9:00-5:00pm

This role is for our Urban Planters and is also responsible for the Urban Planters credit control team. Reporting into the Financial Controller, you will be required to support our Finance team with;


Financial Reporting


  •  Accurate reporting of Financial and non-Financial metrics for month-end reporting
  • Accurate journal completion
  • Ensure all balance sheet reconciliations are completed, all reconciling items investigated and understood
  • Assist in the completion of management presentations to explain month-end performance and attend monthly business review
  • Ensuring delivery of all key reports including P&Ls, transactional reports, balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist in the completion of the annual budgeting process for Urban.
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors to support their activities and provide all necessary documentation. Work proactively to close out any control issues that may arise. Support the Financial Controller and Financial Reporting Accountant with any statutory reporting and any audit requests.
  • Support the finance team on projects & other ad-hoc assignments as they arise.

Credit Control management


  • Debt management and cash collection of customer accounts.
  • Achievement of agreed collection targets.
  • Monitor cash allocation and ensure cash is allocated to the correct accounts
  • Control and monitor the debt and provide reports on performance of accounts and overall debt position.
  • Ensure correct procedures and processes are in place as per credit policy established to chase payments from customers on a regular basis.
  • Ensure all client queries are resolved within agreed timeframes and excellent customer service is delivered at all times.
  • Develop effective regular communication links with stakeholders.
  • Ensure new customer credit checks are completed and reviewed before any credit is agreed.

Requirements:


To be considered for the position, you will ideally have the following..


Essential;


  • Management Accounts experience
  • Experience in posting journals
  • Experience completing Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • Strong excel skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Drive and motivation

Desirable;


  • Fully qualified or working towards full ACCA/CIMA accreditation
  • Experience in Managing a team
