Norwich

Permanent contract | part-time 14.8 hours per week | £29,269 to £31,364 per annum pro rata (Grade G) | Thetford

Early Help Advisor

2 days per week, which can be spilt over 3 days: Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of our dedicated link into the new Family Hub arrangements in Norfolk.

You will be working alongside local partners, district community programmes and initiatives to support the needs of families with an age range of 0-19 and up to 25 for those with Special Educational Needs.

As an Early Help Advisor you will be triaging and providing information to families and professionals where it has been identified that the presenting needs for families could be met through Universal Services or through an Early Help Assessment and Plan.

Although primarily providing a telephone-based response, you will be required to work face to face with families at different locations across the local district council area, liaising with internal and external partners and therefore this role does not require home working.

You will promote and support the safeguarding of children, young people and families so it is imperative that you have a good understanding of the Norfolk Safeguarding Children Partnership Continuum of Need document.

You will need to have excellent communication skills both telephone and face to face.

You may have to travel to destinations not accessible by public transport so you will need to have your own reliable means of transport.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check to assess the suitability of candidates to work with children or other vulnerable groups.

For an informal discussion regarding this role please contact: Team Managers – Hayley Bullock 01603 708272 or Holly McDermott 01362 654612
