The Clinical Practice Educator will promote clinical excellence in all areas within the department, whilst maintaining own clinical competence. All types of learners will be supported, and the post will involve active participation in the continuing development of a positive learning environment. The post-holder will specifically focus on practice development initiatives within Ultrasound but will also undertake tasks/projects that contribute to the performance of the whole department.



Responsible for the development and delivery of the ultrasound training program.



Fosters a learning environment for all learners and staff within the ultrasound department.



Facilitates training and development for all grades of staff in coordination with team leaders.



Responsible for the planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of in-service training and professional development of all grades of staff within ultrasound, in accordance with department and trust policies.



Work with Principal Superintendents, Team Leaders and training providers to achieve these goals.



Promotes awareness of, implementation of, and adherence to trust, national and professional policies.



Ensures the professional and practice development of all team members.



Coordinates educational activities within radiology.



Promotes good working relationships with all multi-disciplinary teams.



Maintains high clinical standards and quality of care.



The Bradford Ultrasound Team are an enthusiastic, energetic team who as well as being patient centered, are focused on staff development and progression.



We are an expanding department which spans across three main sites within the city of Bradford. There are in total 22 ultrasound rooms where a wide range of ultrasound examinations and procedures are performed. This includes some sonographer lead interventional procedures including neck FNAs, TRUS and TP biopsies and HYCosys.



Our Ultrasound department has high spec. up to date equipment due to the Radiology department’s capital replacement programme. Involvement in CPD, audit and staff development is actively encouraged.
