This is an excellent opportunity to use and gain engineering/building services experience in helping to provide an improved environment for the delivery of clinical care.
Our focus is on improving the Trust facilities and environment. You will be part of a team that provide an effective and efficient service to the engineering/building services ,equipment and the buildings.
You will need to have experience of working in an engineering/building maintenance environment .You will have good customer care skills, and be able to work on your own initiative. A flexible approach is required, as often you may be required to work at weekend and evenings. This role leads towards training to an Apprenticeship level 3 in engineering maintenance.
The vacancy is based either at Frimley Park Hospital, GU16 7UJ or Wexham Park Hospital, SL2 4HL.
Carry out reactive maintenance and checks of equipment, plantrooms and building fabric.
Assist maintenance technicians with responsibilities where required.
Monitor, clean and maintain general housekeeping and safe working environment of working areas.

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Painting and Decorating
Basic carpentry/Handyman skills
Maintenance checks of plantrooms
Assisting technicians with duties as required
General housekeeping of working areas, plantrooms, workshops, stores.
Monitor the safe working environment of plantrooms
Maintain radio communication with team leaders and maintenance team
Monitor emergency bleep system when required
Complete job dockets in timely manner
Assist team with KPI targets, number of jobs per day
Promote health and safety for yourself and others
11.Willing to attend residential and non-residential training courses thus staying aware of statutory regulations and guidance, attend college to attain an apprenticeship level 3 in mechanical /electrical engineering
Flexible in approach to overtime and working hours
Promote, follow and utilise the trust values
Participate in the trust appraisal system
