During your internship at the GT Sales Organization, you will have the opportunity to experience and contribute to several key areas: Sales, Bid, Order, and Commercials. Below is an outline of what you can expect from your daily involvement in each sector:


Sales Team: Dive into the vibrant sales environment, where you'll manage a select group of customers with the guidance of the sales team. Working closely with our sales team to optimise our go to market and increase order intake. To ensure it delivers on value, efficiency, and footprint. You will develop your skills to manage sales targets and priorities, engage with customers to influence their short, medium, and long-term buying and business strategies. You will develop these skills through a combination of office-based work and through face-to-face meeting with customers and internal business units.


Bid Management: Step into the Bid Team and explore the detailed bid management process. Work alongside cross functional teams to gather the required documents and data for bid submissions. Play a role in crafting proposals and take part in crucial review meetings. Support the upkeep of the bid tracking system, ensuring all information is current and deadlines are met.


Order Management: Join the Operations Team and contribute to the critical task of order delivery. Keep an eye on active orders to identify and address any potential issues or hold-ups. Sit in on logistics meetings to fully understand the complexities of order fulfilment and dispatch. Assist with the accurate entry of new orders into the management system. Watch and learn from team interactions with the finance department to confirm the terms and conditions of order payments.


In each role, you will acquire practical experience and deepen your understanding of the various aspects of the sales cycle within the GT Sales Organization. How You’ll Make an Impact


The Intern Project Manager/Project Engineer will be part of the Order Management Team within the Grid Technologies - Sales Organisation. You will:



  • Demonstrate ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple tasks and concurrent projects/orders.

  • Assist the efforts of the PM to implement project/order deliveries for a wide range of transmission products including GIS, Circuit Breakers, Transformers etc on time delivery.

  • Assist the efforts of the PM for the management of local subcontractors and overseas factories from Order through delivery up to handover in accordance with the client schedule and quality requirements and always ensuring strict adherence to client & Siemens Energy EHS requirements.

  • Assist the efforts of the PM for working with finance/ commercial team on a regular basis to ensure accurate reporting of financial/ commercial metrics.

  • Assist the efforts of the PM in ensuring all potential opportunities, variations and risks are identified and reported to the Business as soon as possible.

  • Use and make available to others knowledge assets to optimise the proposed solution and project costs.

  • Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Business Management, Future Technologies, Environmental Studies

  • Self-starter that works well in a fast-paced environment
